Picking the Correct Domain Registrar
There are so many different companies that off the ability to purchase a domain name that it can sometimes get very confusing to know which one to go with. We work with many different Registrars due to our clients purchasing from many different sources. It used to be pretty easy when everything started out because you only had a couple of major players to choose from. That is no longer the case. I will tell you that you need to make sure that wherever you purchase your domain, you need to make sure that you are the owner of the domain and it can not be sold out from under you at any time.
We have used many different Domain Registrars of our own over the years but have found that the easiest to manage at this time is GoDaddy.com. This is true for many different reasons. It is very easy to search for available domains and walk through the purchasing process without any hassles. They also have an auction area that you can use to find domains that are not new and have some age to them. This can be beneficial if you are looking at setting up SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Aged domains tend to have more weight in SEO and if you can purchase an existing domain name it can help you move up the rank faster. After the domain has been purchased, Godaddy has many different tools to help you manage the domain as well as manage the DNS entries for your host names. This is truly a great reason to choose Godaddy as the Registrar when you are purchasing or transferring your domain(s).
